Dance for the Cure is a 501c3 not for profit organization committed to the prevention and cure of breast cancer through the celebration of dance.
We are a volunteer group and do not pay for office overhead or employees. All monies raised are distributed directly to the growing number of local families who have found themselves in dificult and unforeseen circumstances.
We are proud to have raised over $90,000 and had the opportunity to help close to 100 local families since our inception.
How We Got Started
When Kathleen Cirioli was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998, she relied on her passion for dance to motivate her to weather the many difficult months of treatment. She fought her way back to continue running her dance studio and teaching tap dancing. In 1999, Dance for The Cure began its program of entertaining and educating audiences about breast cancer, and in so doing, has helped numerous families impacted by cancer.
