Barry’s Appliance: Local Support Rooted in Relationships

ree

We’re kicking off 30 Days of Thankfulness, a month-long series recognizing the local businesses who help make our mission possible.

Each day, we’ll highlight one of our supporters, some who’ve been with us for decades, others who are new to the cause. All have made a difference in helping us bring hope to local breast cancer patients.

Today's Spotlight is Barry's Appliance

Support often starts with a personal connection—and that’s certainly the case with Barry’s Appliance. Owned by Jason Goldan, nephew of a close friend of DFC co-founder, Joanne Liscovitz’s husband Michael, Barry’s has grown into a trusted supporter of Dance for the Cure. Both of our co-founders, along with many of our volunteers, are longtime customers, making their ongoing support feel especially personal.

Over the years, Barry’s Appliance has donated a wide range of substantial and sought-after raffle prizes, from high-end grills to wine fridges and other home appliances, helping to make Ribbons of Hope a standout event year after year. These generous contributions have helped us raise critical funds to support breast cancer patients facing financial hardship.

And there’s another fun link… General Manager Julia Homann is a tap dancer too, making her part of our extended dance family in more ways than one!

We’re deeply thankful to Jason, Julia, and the entire Barry’s Appliance team for being consistent and generous supporters of our mission.
