A Season of Support and Celebration
This spring showed what’s possible when a community comes together. Four events—each unique—helped raise awareness and support for local breast cancer patients.

The Pink Ribbon Tribute Brought Awareness to Hillsborough
Throughout April, the Hillsborough Municipal Complex was the site of a powerful display. More than 50 pink tribute signs lined the space, each one honoring someone affected by breast cancer. Visitors stopped by throughout the month—some to reflect, others to remember or show support. The display was a quiet but impactful way to keep breast cancer awareness in focus and remind us why we do this work.

Shop, Sip, Sparkle & Learn Drew a Crowd
Held on April 14 and spearheaded by long-time DFC volunteer Arleen Kornbluth, this vendor fair and community night brought out more than 100 attendees. With prize raffles, vendor table fees, and donations, the event raised $1,290. All nine vendors also committed to donating baskets valued at $250 or more to this year’s Ribbons of Hope fundraiser. It was a fun, relaxed evening that also helped build momentum for the months ahead.

Fairleigh Dance Project Shared Their Stage and Their Support
On May 7, the Fairleigh Dance Project presented its Spring 2025 Showcase at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Dreyfuss Theater, featuring original choreography exploring social topics such as mental health and self-empowerment. Dance for the Cure was grateful to be named the beneficiary of the evening’s fundraising efforts, receiving a $375 donation to support local breast cancer patients.

Sea Glass Workshop Offered a Creative Way to Give Back
In June, Dance for the Cure hosted two Sea Glass Tree Fundraiser workshops. The first session sold out, leading to the addition of a second. Altogether, 48 people enjoyed a relaxed and creative evening, and Dance for the Cure was the recipient of $480 as a result. It was a simple but meaningful way for attendees to support local breast cancer patients while enjoying a night out.
Each of these spring events looked a little different—but they all added up to something bigger: more people learning about our mission, more support for local patients, and more reasons to keep going.
