Uncle Vinnie’s Clam Bar: A Family Connection to the Cause

Updated: 5 days ago

Welcome to 30 Days of Thankfulness, a month-long series recognizing the local businesses who help make our mission possible.

Each day, we’ll highlight one of our supporters, some who’ve been with us for decades, others who are new to the cause. All have made a difference in helping us bring hope to local breast cancer patients.

Today's Spotlight is Uncle Vinnie's Clam Bar

At Dance for the Cure, we’re honored to recognize local businesses whose support is both generous and deeply personal. Uncle Vinnie’s Clam Bar, owned by Lou Malenchek, is one of those businesses.

For many years, Lou has provided gift cards to his popular restaurant for our Ribbons of Hope basket raffle—adding a crowd-favorite prize that always draws interest. His support has been consistent, generous, and heartfelt.

Lou’s connection to our mission goes beyond business. He lost his mother to breast cancer, and his involvement is a tribute to her journey and a reflection of his commitment to helping others who are facing the same challenge.

It’s partners like Lou and Uncle Vinnie’s Clam Bar who help us continue our mission of easing the financial burden for local breast cancer patients.

Thank you, Lou, for sharing your story and for the support you continue to give.
