From Friendship to Lasting Impact

Support for Dance for the Cure often begins with a personal connection and grows into something that reaches far beyond it.
For Nicole Tepper, that connection started with her friendship with volunteer Brooke Herbst. Through that relationship, she saw firsthand how Dance for the Cure supports local families facing breast cancer.
“You were my why and my reason. 💪 I care about the cause, for sure, but I support my friends and their passions. This was important to you, and then it became important to me, and I saw the impact it has on families who really need help. Being able to be just a little part of helping is truly an honor.”— Nicole Tepper
That personal connection grew into meaningful support through the David and Nicole Tepper Charitable Foundation, which focuses on strengthening communities by helping individuals and families access the resources they need during challenging times.
The Tepper Foundation began supporting Dance for the Cure in 2019 with a $5,000 donation. Since then, their commitment has grown significantly, with a total of $160,000 contributed to date. In 2025 alone, they donated $30,000, making them the organization’s largest donor. Their generosity helps ensure that local breast cancer patients can receive direct financial assistance when everyday expenses become overwhelming during treatment.
Their support also extends beyond financial contributions. Through their connection to professional sports, including ownership of the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Football Club, the Teppers have provided auction and raffle items such as event tickets and signed memorabilia. These donations help drive fundraising efforts like Ribbons of Hope, where community participation turns generosity into direct support for local families.
Dance for the Cure is a 100% volunteer-run organization, and every dollar raised goes to individuals in Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset counties who are navigating a breast cancer diagnosis. To date, more than $1.4 million has been gifted to those in need, offering timely relief during a difficult chapter.
The Tepper Family Foundation’s partnership reflects how a single relationship can grow into a broader commitment—one that brings meaningful support to local families when it matters most.
