Raritan Joins the Pink Bow Project for the First Time

This year, Raritan Borough became part of Dance for the Cure’s Pink Bow Project, with Dance for the Cure volunteers creating and delivering large pink bows to hang on the doors of local businesses. Despite the rainy weather on September 28th, large pink bows were hung all along the Main Street, thus spreading awareness for breast cancer.

Raritan’s participation marks the first time the town has been involved in the Pink Bow Project. Mayor Nicolas Carra, Council President Don Tozzi, and the entire town council were enthusiastic about joining the effort. Council President Tozzi expressed the town's support and shared that they plan to make this an annual tradition.

Businesses throughout Raritan were excited to display the pink bows, showing their solidarity with breast cancer patients in the community. The town’s willingness to participate highlights the strong sense of community and compassion for those going through difficult times due to a breast cancer diagnosis.

Lisa Sabo and her daughter Jules (not pictured) also played a key role by making and delivering the bows, ensuring they were ready to be displayed around town.

The Pink Bow Project is one of Dance for the Cure’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness and provide financial help to breast cancer patients in Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset counties. Now that Raritan is part of this initiative, we look forward to seeing Pink Bows on all of the businesses each October awhile informing the community about the not for profit organization and the financial assistance they provide to local women upon being diagnosed with breast cancer.

We’re thankful to the Raritan community for their warm welcome and support in kicking off this project. For more details about the Pink Bow Project or how to get involved, visit https://www.danceforthecure.org/support-us.
