Dance for the Cure Joins Hillsborough’s National Night Out

On Tuesday, August 5, Dance for the Cure (DFC) proudly participated in Hillsborough’s 3rd annual National Night Out, held at Mountain View Park. The community event offered DFC an opportunity to spread awareness about its mission—supporting local breast cancer patients in financial need throughout Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset counties.

Set up under our signature pink tent, DFC co-founders Joanne Liscovitz and Kathleen Cirioli—alongside dedicated volunteers Danielle Hughes, Terry Oxford, Marcia Moore, and Carole Longo—welcomed visitors throughout the evening. One of the highlights was a kid-friendly Plinko game, brought by Terry Oxford, where children could win prizes while parents learned how DFC supports local families in crisis.

As a 100% volunteer-run organization, DFC has gifted over $1.3 million to local patients facing financial hardship due to a breast cancer diagnosis. Events like National Night Out help raise awareness and connect DFC with new supporters, ensuring more neighbors can be helped during their time of need.
