On May 7th, Dance for the Cure was honored to be included in the Fairleigh Dance Project’s Spring 2025 Showcase at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Dreyfuss Theater. It was an engaging evening filled with original choreography that addressed real and relevant social issues—everything from mental health to self-empowerment. The performances were powerful, and the spirit of community was felt throughout the night.

We’re so grateful that FDP once again chose to support Dance for the Cure through their showcase. As a result of the evening, we received a donation of $375. These funds will be put toward assisting a local breast cancer patient who is experiencing financial hardship due to their diagnosis. Support like this truly helps ease the day-to-day pressures patients face as they navigate treatment.

DFC volunteers Donna Cease and Darlene Sterritt attended the showcase on our behalf and were deeply moved by the performances and the purpose behind them.

We’d also like to recognize and thank FDP’s Executive Board for their leadership and generosity:

  • Courtney Novak, President (first on the left in the photo)

  • Danny Guzman, Vice President

  • Melania Vasquez, Treasurer

  • Luisa Romano, Secretary

  • Taylor Mills and Eiurlan Coppola, Public Relations Chairs

To everyone at FDP—thank you. We’re proud to be part of your efforts and truly appreciate your support of our mission to help local patients in need.
