Pink Bow Project 2026
Local Businesses Show Their Support

A bright pink bow on a business door has become a familiar October sight—and a welcome sign of community support. This year, Dance for the Cure’s Pink Bow Project brings volunteers and businesses in Hillsborough, Flemington, Martinsville, and Raritan together to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and share information about help available to local patients.
The project begins with volunteers making the large pink bows by hand, then heading out to deliver them to businesses. From the people shaping the ribbon to the business owners welcoming a bow on their door, each participant helps bring breast cancer awareness into everyday places.
Those visits also create opportunities to connect. In past years, business owners have shared stories about loved ones affected by breast cancer, including relatives who received financial assistance from DFC. Some have offered donations, adding their support to the work the bows help publicize.
For someone facing the financial strain of a breast cancer diagnosis, learning about Dance for the Cure can be an important first step toward assistance. Our volunteer-run organization provides monetary gifts to patients in Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset counties, helping ease the pressure of everyday expenses during treatment.
Thank you to the volunteers who make and distribute the bows and the businesses that display them throughout October. While customers stop in to shop, pick up an order, or keep an appointment, your doors help introduce them to Dance for the Cure and the support available to their neighbors.
