Our Mission | Dance for the Cure

Dance for the Cure's mission is simple—we distribute monetary gifts to women in financial distress due to a breast cancer diagnosis. We are there for them in their moment of crisis.

When we started more than 20 years ago, we focused on encouraging women to get their mammograms. In the years since, DFC has evolved from providing generalized health awareness programs to direct financial assistance programs. To date we have gifted over $850,000 to hundreds of breast cancer patients in New Jersey.

Each ribbon on the map below represents a woman that we have helped. These are your neighbors, friends and co-workers, your child's teacher, the lady at church or maybe your sister. They are women you know and care for, and we are there for them, too. Our assistance is impactful and immediate.

But these ribbons don't tell the whole story. Behind each ribbon is a real person dealing with life as a breast cancer patient. Visit our Recipients page to read their stories in their own words.

“By the graciousness of Dance for the Cure, the check I received alleviated some of my financial burden. I could breathe a bit easier and concentrate on healing.” - DFC Recipient

Each year our annual fundraiser, Ribbons of Hope, takes place in October during Breast Cancer Awareness month. It's a wonderful evening highlighted by the raffle of over 200 incredible baskets. This year's event takes place on Thursday, October 20th at the Bridgewater Marriott in Bridgewater, NJ. Won't you join us?
