Those Pink Boxes! Packed and Delivered with Love

Every October, pink ribbons begin appearing at municipal buildings throughout Central New Jersey as part of Dance for the Cure's annual Tie the Town Pink initiative. But before those ribbons make their way onto trees, railings, and lampposts, a dedicated team of volunteers has some packing to do!

Each participating municipality receives a signature pink box filled with everything needed to join the initiative: pink ribbons, instructions for displaying them, information about Dance for the Cure, and a few DFC-branded goodies. And there's an extra treat inside, too! Volunteer Linda Colatriano contributes her delicious homemade baked goods, adding a sweet thank-you for the municipal employees who help bring Tie the Town Pink to their communities.

With all the supplies assembled, volunteers form a packing line, filling each box and carefully labeling it with the recipient's name and delivery address. Once the boxes are ready, a second team takes over, picking them up and personally delivering them to contacts in each participating town.

It's a wonderful example of the teamwork that goes on behind the scenes at Dance for the Cure. From baking and packing to organizing and delivering, every volunteer plays a part in bringing Tie the Town Pink to life.

A big thank-you to everyone who helped get those pink boxes packed, labeled, and delivered! Your efforts help spread breast cancer awareness and share DFC's mission of supporting local patients in financial need.
