The Pink Bow Project

Updated: Apr 4, 2022

The Dance for the Cure “Pink Bow Project” is a program to recognize breast cancer awareness throughout the town of Hillsborough, while also spreading the word about our organization, Dance for the Cure, and the financial help we provide for area women who are going through their personal breast cancer journey.

Volunteers create large pink bows and help to distribute them throughout the township businesses and storefronts to be displayed on their entrance doors during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. It is an easy craft type project, just requiring cutting, folding, and twisting a pipe cleaner to create the bows.

Next, volunteers are needed to distribute the Pink Bows to local businesses to create a “Dance for the Cure” presence during the entire month of October.

The result of this project is that the township is decorated in lovely pink bows to bring about awareness of both breast cancer awareness month and Dance for the Cure.

These lovely, fluffy bows are simple to make and provide a pop of color and curiosity everywhere they are placed.
