Each October, more than 400 symbolic pink bows appear at businesses throughout Hillsborough, Flemington, Martinsville, and Raritan as part of Dance for the Cure's Pink Bow Project. These eye-catching displays create a strong visual presence during Breast Cancer Awareness Month while reminding residents that local families are navigating the challenges of a breast cancer diagnosis.

Launched in 2018, the Pink Bow Project has become a recognizable tradition that reflects the generosity of participating businesses and the dedication of our volunteers. Together, they transform shopping districts into visible expressions of hope, compassion, and community support.

This year, Raritan Borough became part of Dance for the Cure’s Pink Bow Project, with Dance for the Cure volunteers creating and delivering large pink bows to hang on the doors of local businesses. Each year, in our commitment to breast cancer awareness, Dance for the Cure launches the "Pink Bow Project." Approximately 350 Pink Bows were made by 40 volunteers, and then distributed to stores and businesses throughout Hillsborough and Flemington during the last days of September and the first week in October to spread awareness throughout the communities. 2021 Pink Bow Project

Approximately 282,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year according to the National Cancer Institute.
